Welcome to Pickleball Partners
Pickleball Partners is your gateway to the growing sport of pickleball in York Region, including the GTA. Founded by Mike Bowcott, our mission is to create an inclusive community where players of all skill levels can enjoy the sport, improve their game, and connect with others.
Our Story
Mike Bowcott, the founding partner of Pickleball Partners, started the Richmond Hill Pickleball Network and club and the York Region GTA Pickleball Network. Today, the York Region GTA network is North America's largest group of pickleball players (2300+), operating on the Global Pickleball Network (GPN). Richmond Hill is the second largest (2000+) network of players operating on the GPN. This success reflects our dedication to making pickleball accessible to everyone while ensuring top-notch programs and resources for our members.
Together with Jim Kostin, Mike has brought a wealth of experience to the pickleball community. Both Mike and Jim are Level II certified coaches, having taught over 1,000 players how to play and excel at pickleball. Their expertise goes beyond coaching: they've worked extensively with municipalities to design effective pickleball programs and provide training at all levels. In 2023, they proved their competitive edge by winning the gold medal in the Ontario Provincial Championships in the Men’s 3.5 Doubles 50+ age group.

Mike Bowcott – Founding Partner
With a deep love for pickleball and community, Mike's vision has turned Pickleball Partners into a leading force in the sport. His experience in both player development and program management has allowed Pickleball Partners to grow into the largest pickleball network in North America.
Jim Kostin – Partner and Coach
As a highly skilled Level II certified coach, Jim has co-led the charge in building a strong pickleball community. His hands-on coaching approach has helped hundreds of players improve their game, and his partnership with Mike has led to the development of innovative pickleball programs across the region.
